A Word to the "Birthers"

I would like to start by apologizing for such a long absence between today's post and my last. Life keeps me very busy these days and I hope to make more time in the future to write. With that said, I'd like to issue a word of warning to the "birthers". For those of you unaware of this growing group of people, they feel Barack Obama has not provided significant evidence of a birth certificate proving he is a citizen of the United States. I will go ahead and say that I also believe he has not provided sufficient documentation. I feel if there was nothing to hide, why not show it? His past is a very shady, too shady for the POTUS. I do not consider myself a birther, and my reasoning is also my warning. What good will come from the revelation that most assuredly will arise from these documents? Go ahead and say it, I'm an Obamabot, an indulgent of the "kool aid", but can you honestly tell me what good it would do for you, or the country?

So theoretically the documents get leaked, or released by court order and it is found he is not legally eligible for the Office of President of the United States. Fantastic, we were right all along. What a great day, vindication! But it will only last a moment, the vitriolic fall out of such a discovery will only tear this country asunder, off its hinges. The greatest Constitutional scandal of all time. The best outcome of this is that he is peacefully removed from office. An impeachment process moves forward, he is removed and we are stuck with Joe Biden, as bitter as that tastes. We move from one incompetent leader to another, great...right? "We have removed the usurper!" they will say.

Violent protests and clashes between supporters and those who want him removed will break out across the United States. The country would never be the same. The first African-American President is removed from power over a technicality, albeit a significant, important technicality. Imagine the anger, the sheer unbridled rage among those who voted for him simply for that reason, because he is black (believe me, they exist, in large number). Imagine Keith Olbermann's face! (Ok, I threw that one in for kicks and giggles). What happens then? Do we return to the 1960s? It would undoubtedly be a war in the streets. Something this country simply cannot afford right now, the economy would slip in to chaos and depression, again, and we look to Joe Biden to lead us out of it. Think about that for just ONE SECOND. Joe Biden, POTUS. Oy Vey.

What about if Mr. Obama refuses to remove himself from power? Is he removed physically, even violently? Surely there is a military commander in the United States military ballsy enough to place him under arrest for high treason...right? Surely Michelle Obama will also be arrested for the same crimes, simply for knowing this information. The list would go on throughout the entire cabinet. But could he be removed? We already know this administrations distaste for all things Constitutional, so what incentive is there to peacefully resign their positions? There isn't any. They would be arrested, put before a military tribunal, and probably put to death. Can you imagine the result of THAT?! I highly doubt that any of them would go peacefully. So we would be stuck with a DOTUS (Dictator of the United States). Except, they would no longer be united, would they? The remnants of the United States Constitution would be destroyed and in its place a new Constitution. Martial law would most certainly be instituted and we are suddenly something resembling everything the United States has stood against for so long.

While I feel Mr. Obama should present documentation on his birth, I hope and pray that it never happens. The outcome of such a situation outweighs by a great deal the potential vindication of this revelation. Remember, this is theoretical, and the best way to remove this man from office comes first in November 2010, and finally in 2012. We the people already have the power, exercise it.

Introduction

Let me first welcome you to this blog. While I realize there are others who use this name, the fact of the matter is there simply aren't enough Silence Dogood's. From time to time it may appear that I am channeling today's pundits however, I am not a shill using toxic language to sell books and make copious amounts of money. In any case, you are here because you understand the meaning of this name, and it has piqued your interest, so I won't keep you waiting.

My friends, what is wrong with us? Our politicians have us all bamboozled with apparent acts of selflessness. These men and women have us at each others throat and for what? If you were to take today's headlines 20 years in the past no one would believe that this is the United States of America. United, we haven't been united since 9/11.

You see, while the politicians pass controversial legislation that the majority of this country did not desire, we bicker and seethe with anger. We point at the "other side" and cry foul, making claims like socialist and hate monger. You must understand, this is what the politicians want. You see, under your noses while we argue and scrounge for reasons to blame each other, they will slide things in to law that will only divide us further. Immigration reform under the guise of amnesty, climate control legislation under the mask of Cap and Trade. You have been blinded by the show, and can't see what's happening behind the scenes.

If you're seeking to place blame, blame only yourself. I do. You see, I voted for this farce and am ashamed to have cast that vote. I did it because I felt it was the lesser of two evils. John McCain and Barack Obama while appearing to be different, really have few differences. Fortunately, my mistake, your mistake, our collective mistakes can be corrected. I am of the opinion that none of these fools presiding over this country truly have my best interest at heart. I care for neither the Republicans nor the Democrats and refuse to believe that these two pools of people are the only options we have to choose from. I also believe that they can all be removed peaceably, but if necessary, they should be removed forcibly.

We live in a time and a country that has been fractured. We gnaw and scratch at each other while they pour salt on the wound. We The People have the power to act. Whether you voted for a corrupt Republican or a corrupt Democrat, you can remove them. You are not powerless.
